Arkansas and Israel agree to cooperate on technology

IN AGREEMENT: The governor with Ami Applebaum of the Israel Innovation Authority.
Governor Hutchinson was in Washing today to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Israel Innovation Authority to cooperate on technological innovation, research, and development.
A note on memorandums of understanding: The governor has signed them before, including for a textile plant in Forrest City and a giant pulp mill in Clark County. Those Chinese ventures didn’t happen. He’s also signed them with a Vietnam province, federal government agencies (Agriculture, FDA, NCTR) and with neighboring statements to develop hydrogen for fuel. He’s almost as enamored of MOUs as he is of task forces.
