‘Truly offensive’: Christina Hall SLAMS ex Ant Anstead’s claim she’s been ‘exploiting’ their son Hudson, three, on social media before accusing him of the same

Christina Hall has fired back at ex Ant Anstead after he accused her of ‘exploiting’ their son Hudson, three, by using him in social media ads amid their ugly custody battle.

In legal documents obtained by Us Weekly, the HGTV star, 39, slammed the allegations as ‘truly offensive and simply untrue’ before accusing Anstead, 43, of the same.

‘I have read the Supplemental Declaration of Anthony ‘Ant’ Anstead and was shocked to see that Ant is continuing to make false allegations against me,’ penned Hall, who filed her own declaration Tuesday.

She continued: ‘The allegation that I am ‘exploiting’ our son is truly offensive and simply untrue. After seeing what Ant has written in his Supplemental Declaration it is clear that his motivation is not Hudson’s best interest.’

Anstead made his claims against Hall in court documents filed on Monday, September 26. Specifically, the UK native raised concerns about Hudson’s exposure to reality television and his ex using their child in her social media advertisements.

Hall denied exploiting Hudson in Tuesday’s filing, in which she stressed that previous Instagram ads featuring their son were ‘organic moments’ and ‘nothing was forced.’

‘I have never exploited our son Hudson,’ she wrote. ‘He appeared in a few of my own Instagram ads that each took less than 5 minutes to film.

‘I have all the footage and they were all fun activities that he enjoyed doing, such as a playing with toys or making cookies.

‘These were organic moments in Hudson’s eyes. Nothing was forced and they were filmed with a cell phone, not a production team,’ she claimed.

Hall then claimed that their son has not been featured in any of her paid posts since April of this year after Anstead first asked her to stop including Hudson.

‘I did not have a problem stopping, nor do I care to feature Hudson in any further endorsements,’ she wrote.

Ramping the feud up a notch, Hall then accused Anstead of being the one who’s used their son on social media in the hopes of nabbing brand endorsements.

‘Anyone experienced in social media will recognize Ant’s pattern of posting our son using a product and tagging the product manufacturer as ‘fishing’ for endorsements.

‘Ant is not currently on television and puts a lot of effort into Instagram since that is his only platform,’ she claimed.

Hall believes that Anstead made his initial filing ‘solely for the purpose of making these inflammatory statements’ about her and that she would prefer to keep their custody battle private.

Specifically, the Christina On The Coast host wants to go through ‘private mediation and private judging’ instead of court.

‘Ant instead chose to tarnish my good name with knowingly false allegations. It was not until I proved his allegations false that he agree to privately mediate the matter,’ she claimed in the documents.

On Tuesday, Anstead was captured leaving an Orange County courthouse just one day after filing his declaration.

Us Weekly obtained the legal docs, where Anstead went into detail about his concerns regarding the alleged ‘risks’ of using their son on social media or reality television.

‘The risks for a child working on a television production set (even if that “set” is Christina’s home) are innumerable and well documented,’ he said.

‘Putting aside the obvious pressures of working within a TV production environment, children involved in television production often have lingering issues that affect their welfare, worldview, and self-image, leaving them diminished and dependent upon the perceived approval of others for their self-worth.’

‘It is my goal to ensure that Hudson is allowed a childhood that is joyful, healthy, and natural, with as few stresses as possible, and this should be prioritized above creating commercial opportunity and content,’ he added.

Ant alleged in the filing that Christina ‘has already exploited’ Hudson by featuring him in her paid promotional content on her social media channels.

‘I fear she also has footage of him, to be used in one of her reality TV shows, without my knowledge or consent, and continues to film him despite my objections,’ he said. ‘I do not believe it is in Hudson’s best interests to be exploited as a ‘spokesperson, ambassador’ or as a ‘model’ for any products or social media campaigns.’

He also said he would reject requests for their son to appear in ads as he wanted his protect his child’s ability to make that decision for himself.

While Ant and Christina were able to hash out several issues without the assistance of the court, the TV host still takes issue with his son being involved in reality television.

He then raised Kaila Posey, the Toddlers & Tiaras star who died by suicide at age 16 earlier this year.

‘One of my many fears of Hudson being forced to film reality TV is the possibility that public ridicule over seemingly benign content becomes insurmountably humiliating,’ he said. ‘I urge the courts to review the recent and tragic case of Kailia Posey and a defining embarrassing meme.’

Anstead and Hall married in 2018 but would file for divorce after less than two years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in July 2021.
