COVID today: A drop in active case count

Here are the Arkansas Health Department numbers on COVID-19 in the state, compared with the numbers released yesterday.

Total cases: 878,058, an increase of 678 over the Sunday number.

Active cases: 14,479, down from 15,126

Deaths: 11,608, same as yesterday.

Hospitalizations: 306l, down from 308

In ICU: 44, down from 47

On ventilators: 8, up from 7

Standard disclaimer: Because of the rise in home testing, with results not forwarded to the Health Department, the numbers are believed to undercount state cases, perhaps dramatically.
