Do not make Stephen Curry angry.

That’s somehow a scarier version of the two-time MVP, and the Los Angeles Clippers found out the hard way Sunday during the Golden State Warriors‘ 105-90 victory as the first-place Warriors moved to 18-2 to start the season.

Curry finished with 33 points, 13 coming in the fourth quarter, and he became fired up early in the frame after a drive on the Clippers’ Terance Mann, who appeared to foul him.

No whistle came, however, and an irate Curry picked up a technical instead.

“I thought I got fouled, so I let my emotions go,” Curry said after the game, via ESPN. “And definitely fired me up, fired our team up – you have to be able to direct that energy into just putting the ball in the basket, obviously, after that.”

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors reacts angrily to referee Gediminas Petraitis and complains of being fouled by Terance Mann of the Los Angeles Clippers. He received a technical.

“It was as upset as I’ve seen Steph in a long time,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters. “And it was as upset as I’ve been in a long time, too. It’s kind of a miracle that I didn’t get a technical, but it seemed to get him going.

“Whatever it takes, I guess.”

To prove his point, Curry celebrated a made 3-pointer from the left wing four minutes later with a dramatic technical foul reenactment before soaring toward the Golden State bench before a timeout.

Curry upped his scoring average this season to 28.6 points, and the Warriors have won seven straight.
