Former Vols in the NBA: Dec. 23 recap

One former University of Tennessee basketball player competed in the NBA Thursday. Two others did not player due to a coach’s decision.

In Philadelphia, the 76ers fell to the Hawks, 98-96, at Wells Fargo Center.

Tobias Harris played 38 minutes and scored 16 points. He also had six assists, five rebounds, two steals and one block in the contest.

Harris went 5-for-14 from the floor, 0-for-6 from beyond the 3-point arc and 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

Rookie Jaden Springer was called up for Thursday’s game from the Delaware Blue Coats, Philadelphia’s NBA G-League affiliate. He did not play due to a coach’s decision.

In San Francisco, Golden State defeated Memphis, 113-104, at Chase Center. Yves Pons did not play for the Grizzlies due to a coach’s decision.
