WERE, HI, MOM. THE BUS TIPPED OVER. GIVE ME SOME SHOES. >> THE DAUGHTER WAS A SEVENTH GRADER ON THE BUS THAT DROVE INTO A DITCH AFTER RAINS MADE IT HARD TO SEE THE ROAD. FIRST RESPONDERS AND SCHOOL STAFF HAD TO RESCUE THE KIDS OUT OF THE BACK EMERGENCY DOOR IN WAIST DEEP WATER. >> A LITTLE STUNNED. TRYING TO PROCESS IT. MAYBE JOKE BUT SHE WAS VERY MATTER-OF-FACT. >> THERE WAS NOTHING ORDINARY ABOUT MONDAY. SHE CAPTURED THIS VIDEO OF HERSELF SLOSHING THROUGH THE WATER AFTER BEING RESCUED FROM THE BUS. SO LET THE BUS TO OVER. 45 DEGREES AND SAW HER WADING THROUGH THE WATER. SHE WAS SUPER CALM ABOUT IT. >> A SCHOOL DISTRICT SPOKESPERSON TOLD 12 NEWS POLICE DIRECTED TRAFFIC THROUGH FLOODWATERS AND NEVER REDIRECTED TRAFFIC ELSEWHERE. OTHER KIDS RECORDED SOME OF THE SCENE ON THEIR PHONES. FORTUNATELY NO ONE WAS HURT. >> THE STAFF WAS VERY DYNAMIC IN ADJUSTING WHAT THEY NEEDED TO DO TO GET THINGS TAKEN CARE OF FOR THE STUDENTS. >> DID SHE HEAD TO SCHOOL ON THE BUS AGAIN THIS MORNING? >> SHE DID. I THINK TODAY IS GOING TO BE A LITTLE LESS ADVENTUROUS.

A school bus carrying middle school students went into a ditch and flooded due to torrential rains.Watch the video above to see the students walking through flooded water from the busOne parent says her daughter called to tell her that the school bus she was on had flooded. “The words out of her mouth were, ‘Hi mom, the bus tipped over can you bring me some shoes?'” Allie Gershcke said.It happened Monday morning outside Pilgrim Park Middle School. Police said, due to the rain, the driver could not see the edge of the roadway.”It tends to flood over there, but still, the last thing that I would ever be getting a phone call about to start the week,” Gershcke said.Officers and school staff helped rescue students from the back door emergency exit of the bus. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

One parent says her daughter called to tell her that the school bus she was on had flooded.

“The words out of her mouth were, ‘Hi mom, the bus tipped over can you bring me some shoes?'” Allie Gershcke said.

It happened Monday morning outside Pilgrim Park Middle School.

Police said, due to the rain, the driver could not see the edge of the roadway.

“It tends to flood over there, but still, the last thing that I would ever be getting a phone call about to start the week,” Gershcke said.

Officers and school staff helped rescue students from the back door emergency exit of the bus. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
