Kansas City Garth Brooks Concert Declared 'Night Of The Spreadnecks'
First let’s define jokey-terms and realize this pandemic condemnation comes from our more “health conscious” friends who mistakenly believe they can’t get COVID in line at the Brookside Whole Foods. Meanwhile, the threat from the Lambda variant might change everybody’s tune . . .
Spreadneck – A person who consciously chooses to not wear a mask during COVID-19. Not because they medically cannot, rather because they generally do not care about other people’s health. Usually sighting inaccurate, conspiracy theories that have been disproved time and time again as factually inaccurate.
To be fair, there is a funky & sketchy mask order for indoor parts of Arrowhead and Garth pleaded with his fans to mask up but we’ve already heard back that it was mostly just bad theater like most political chatter during this epoch in American history.
Also . . . That vaxx line wasn’t too crowded tonight either.
Here’s a quick news roundup for late night www.TonysKansasCity.com denizens . . .
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Garth Brooks was in town Saturday night performing in front of over 70,000 fans at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. It’s the first major event with full capacity at the venue since the pandemic began. “We are so excited to see Garth Brooks,” said Grace Greninger, from Joplin, Missouri.
Tens of thousands of people showed up to the Garth Brooks concert at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Saturday night.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Thousands of people returned to the GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium for the Garth Brooks concert. Flat Chuck was the only way Katie Porter’s husband, Chuck, has been able to see Brooks in concert. Flat Chuck is a cardboard cut-out of Chuck in uniform.
And here’s yet another reason to avoid country music fans who like anything pre-1967 or unrelated to Willie Nelson . . .
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Kansans that are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and headed to see Garth Brooks on Saturday night will be required to quarantine.
And so, as is our tradition here at TKC, we share a Saturday night playlist with tonight’s songs dedicated to sickness since Garth Brooks tunes would have been too obvious of a choice . . .
We start with a disco classic . . .
Brit rock about the medical industrial complex . . .
Decade-old girl power recovery . . .
Sick classic rock . . .
For us, Frank is always the finale . . .
As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.
