Reid Sigmon of Tennessee athletics hired at Oklahoma State University

Reid Sigmon, who served as Tennessee‘s deputy athletics director for finance and operations and also chief operating officer, has been hired at Oklahoma State, it was announced Wednesday. 

Sigmon will serve as deputy athletics director at OSU. 

Since coming to UT in May 2017, Sigmon worked closely within the men’s basketball department, serving as sport administrator for the team. He also helped manage day-to-day responsibilities for the athletics department and was a key liaison to UT’s Office of the General Counsel and Senior Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance. 

Sigmon was a member of the SEC ticket committee and helped with the conference’s working group on event security.

Prior to his time at Tennessee, Sigmon gained executive-level experience planning multiple Super Bowls and an NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four. He also was an original staff member of the College Football Playoff and served as the chief financial officer when it was named sports event of the year by Sports Business Journal in 2015.
