TULSA, Okla. — Update: Police have identified Julian Zavaleta as the suspect in the deadly shooting Friday Afternoon.
The victim “may have created a situation that elicited a road rage reaction,” according to TPD. The situation is still under investigation.
Tulsa police say one person is in custody after a shooting in the AutoZone parking lot near 51st and Peoria.
Police say around 2 p.m. Friday there was some sort of incident on the road. They said the victim and suspect both pulled into the parking lot of AutoZone. The suspect fired one round and hit the victim in the stomach. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin tweeted about the shooting:

Police said the suspect turned himself in after the shooting.
