A group of golfers in Texas had an interesting interruption in the middle of a recent game. A Range Rover tore through the course, followed by a police car, with sirens blaring as some golfers pulled their phones out to catch the whole thing on camera. Philip Morgan was one of the people who caught video of the incident at Cypress Lakes Golf Course.”We are warming up before the round and the last thing we expected to see is — after we hit a drive out and admiring the distance — is a Range Rover comes flying over the top of the hill,” Morgan told KTRK.Police said the driver, 20-year-old Gray Martinez, eventually crashed the vehicle in a nearby neighborhood. Law enforcement sources also said Martinez spit on a deputy during his arrest. Both he and his 19-year-old passenger were arrested and charged with evading police.No injuries were reported, but the incident was a memorable one for those who witnessed it from the middle of a golf game.”It was the best start to a round of golf that I’ve had in a long time — much more entertaining than my score usually is,” Morgan said.
